Phoenix Country Club

Twenty-seven holes of pine, ocean breeze and tournament history.

Phoenix has hosted Japan's most prestigious invitational since the early seventies, which means most international visitors have watched these holes on television long before they play them. Black pines line every fairway, the Pacific sits just beyond the dunes, and Miyazaki's mild winter makes it a genuine year-round destination.

Why we book it

  • Host of Japan's best-known invitational tournament
  • Three nines, so the course can be played in different combinations
  • Winter temperatures rarely drop below 10°C
Signature hole — 18, par 4

The tournament closer, bending left along the pines to a green ringed by grandstands each November.
